Replacing a full arch or full set of missing teeth or failing teeth can be accomplished in one day using the All On Four® procedure. Dr. Dham can offer this option to patients seeking to replace their smiles with implant secured dentures.
Using advanced technology to strategically plan for the extraction and replacement of your teeth, the All On Four process uses a minimum of four dental implants to secure a custom hybrid denture. The entire process is completed in a single day and relies on thorough evaluation and treatment planning for a stable and lasting outcome.
Our Plantation, FL dental practice believes in the importance of patient communication and education. Throughout the discovery and treatment planning process, Dr. Dham will keep you informed of her concerns and treatment options. We want the process to be as satisfactory and successful as the final outcome and a well-informed patient is a key to the best possible result.
All On Four: what to expect
Dr. Dham will begin the process with digital x-rays and 3-D imaging using a CBCT scanner. This offers a comprehensive, high-resolution evaluation of all aspects of your oral tissues including the nerves and sinuses.
Dr. Dham will look for any possible concerns such as lost bone in the jaw or changes in the palate and soft tissues that could impact the result. These concerns will be taken into consideration in the planning and treatment process for the placement of your implant secured dentures.
Dental impressions will likely be taken prior to the day of placement for creating the temporary denture. If you need teeth extracted this will take place the same day as the surgical placement of your dental implants.
On the day of your surgery, we will place the implants and secure a temporary denture so that you will leave with a fully functional smile. A temporary is placed to allow for the soft tissues and gums to adjust and heal before taking final impressions and creating your custom, permanent smile.
What are the benefits of replacing teeth with implant dentures?
When a tooth is lost, the tooth root is also lost. This can lead to changes not only in the health and appearance of your smile but also in the bone structure of your jaw and chin. Without a tooth root, bone in the area begins to shrink and subsequently impacts how your jaw looks and ultimately functions.
Bone loss in the jaw can give you a more aged appearance over time. Dental implants replace the tooth root and help to retain and support a healthy bone structure. This also supports better overall oral health and wellness.
Am I a candidate for All On Four?
While most patients can be considered good candidates for the All On Four process, Dr. Dham will evaluate the condition of your smile and discuss your goals to ensure that this option is the best treatment to meet your needs.
